About the League

The girls league was formed in 2004 with approx 19 teams, following its success and the amount of interest generated from the first development season, the league was restructured as an affiliated league in 2005. Whilst the league does have a very competitive edge to it and formal divisional winners and runners up receive prizes, we place a lot of emphasis on participation and development. There were over 60 teams taking part in 2006/07 and we expect significantly more in 2007/08.
